Table of contents: Preparing the soil before sprouting: the key to a healthy and productive crop

At TILOOM We firmly believe that a healthy and productive crop starts with well-prepared soil. However, we do not always start with optimal soils: intensive farming, year after year, depletes their natural richness. Even good quality soils progressively lose their nutritional capacity if they are not properly managed.

This brings us to an inescapable reality: it is necessary to contribute annually to the macro-elements essential -nitrogenphosphorus and potassium (NPK)-and in many cases, also micro-elements o secondary macro-elements.

But adding nutrients is not enough; there is a factor that is becoming more and more important every day: the soil microbiological health. A good population of micro-organisms not only facilitates nutrient uptake by the roots, but also improves the plants' resistance to challenges such as drought or water stress.

The importance of life on the ground

Nowadays, practices such as maintaining ground covers, shredding pruning waste to leave it in the soil or applying mycorrhizae are becoming commonplace. And this is no coincidence: a living soil, with a balanced micro-biology, is the best guarantee for plants to thrive.

Micro-organisms act as invisible allies, decomposing organic matter, releasing nutrients and strengthening soil structure.

The ideal time: before sprouting

These months of winter dormancy are the perfect time to get the soil ready. Proper preparation now can make all the difference in the season ahead.

At TILOOM, we want to offer you a simple, effective and environmentally friendly solution to get your crops off to a strong start. Here is our proposal:

Before sprouting:

  • Apply organic matter: This is the first step in enriching the soil and nourishing microbial life.

Treatment with TRY FERTILISERS (all organic):

  • TRY FULVICO: 15-20 l/ha. A biological soil revitaliser with 36% of organic matter, of which 34% are fulvic acids. It prepares the soil to make nutrients available.

  • TRY EQUAL PLUS: 2 l/ha. With its AActive complex, it acts as a bridge between the nutrients in the soil and the roots, optimising their transport within the plant.

After sprouting:

  • TRY EQUAL PLUS: 2 l/ha. Reinforces the absorption and movement of nutrients in the phloem and xylem during crop development. Synergistic effect with other fertilisers.
  • TRY MICROFLORA: 1.75 l/ha. Rich in rhizobacteria (such as Bacillus megaterium), and algae (Ascophyllum nodosum). It also favours the development of mycorrhizae. It stimulates plant growth and needs organic matter to enhance its action.

Note: These treatments can be repeated throughout the cycle if deemed necessary, adapted to the specific needs of each crop.

Treatment Plan with TRY Fertilisers (Ecological)

MomentProductDosage (l/ha)Main Benefit
Before sproutingTRY FULVICO15-20Revitalises the soil and improves nutrient availability thanks to its high content of fulvic acids (34%).
TRY EQUAL PLUS2Optimises the transport of nutrients from the soil to the plant thanks to the AActive complex.
After sproutingTRY EQUAL PLUS2Promotes the absorption and transport of nutrients in phloem and xylem, supporting crop development. Enhances the effect of other fertilisers.
TRY MICROFLORA1,75Stimulates plant growth with rhizobacteria and algae, enhancing its effect with organic matter.

Our environmentally friendly products are designed to work in harmony with nature. TRY FULVICO revitalises the soil, TRY MICROFLORA enhances microbial life and TRY EQUAL PLUS ensures that nutrients get to where they are needed most. For more details, you can contact us and access the technical data sheets of each one.

In short, the use of organic fertilisers such as those from the TRY optimises crop nutrition in a sustainable way, improving crop yields, and soil health and plant development.
