The treatment of plant protection packaging is a matter of responsibility for all users. It is the Royal Decree 1311/2012 which gives guidelines for the proper management of packaging containing products.
We all know that the contents of the containers are very useful as they help us to fertilise, to fight fungi, weeds or insects. But if the application is not made in the desired place and with the recommended dosage, it is a polluting discharge.
The penalties for inappropriate treatment are more than €3,000.
The ministry offers a system of 1,500 collection points called SIGFITO. At these points you can safely leave your PPP containers free of charge and free of charge. Some companies, including phytosanitary distributors, offer the service of taking the containers themselves to the collection points. SIGFITO collects all types of containers, plastics, cartons, drums... They must always be empty and have been rinsed 3 times. It is important to note that we do not collect containers of fertilisers, fertilisers, PPE, oils or other waste from field work.
Products that can be taken to collection points must have the SIGFITO LOGO printed on the label.
If you have any questions about SIGFITO, call 917 161 130 or visit www.sigfito.es.
