The Rugby is a sport that was born in England in the early part of the 19th century and, in its beginnings, was a game of catching a ball and kicking it forward. It was around 1823 when William Webb Ellis gave the game its name by adopting the name of his hometown, Rugby.

The object of the game is to move the ball beyond the opponents' goal line (goal line) and bring it to the ground to score points. To advance the ball must be passed backwards, although it may be kicked forward as long as the kicking teammates are behind the ball when it is kicked.
