Description

Penetrometer FieldScout SC-900 Digital is a meter capable of taking compaction readings of 45 centimetres.

Help make decisions regarding areas of the field that require aeration, spiking, tillage, changes in crop rotation and planting of cover crops.

The characteristics of the penetrometer:

  • Includes two tapered tips of 1/2″ (1.27 cm) and 3/4″ (1.905 cm).
  • The unique ultrasonic sensor takes compaction readings at a depth of 45 cm and captures the readings in 2.5 cm increments.
  • Compaction data is shown in PSI or kPa.
  • It is equipped with an internal data logger and RS-232 port.
  • Capable of recording 772 measurements (579 of them with GPS/DGPS option added).
  • GPS with compatible serial output*.
  • Compatible with SpecConnect SpecMaps.
  • Compatible with FieldScout software.
  • PC connectivity via USB included.

*The GPS interface requires two cables. The GPS and DGPS cable. A PC serial interface cable is also required and is supplied by the GPS receiver manufacturer.
