The pumping pressures achieved in the hydraulic system of our sports surfaces are various and different:
- The working pressure is that which needs to reach the base of the sprinkler according to the irrigation configuration designed for the sprinkler (rainfall and spacing according to a given pressure).
- The set pressure is the pressure at which the pumps must operate to ensure the working pressures required by the sprinklers, being the sum of the required working pressure of the sprinklers plus the pressure required to compensate for friction loss and the pressure required to lift the water to the highest point of the field.

The static pressure is that measured with the system under load, they must be similar in all areas of equal elevation.

The dynamic pressure is measured with water flowing through the pipes, thus giving information on frictional pressure losses.

Once the static pressures are known, the dynamic readings will give information on the head losses in the pipelines as we move away from the pumping.
Do you know Rigometer? Pumping will never be the same again.
