Turf-Tec designs instruments specifically for diagnosing sports turf on site. Its portable infiltrometer determines the infiltration rate at a given point in around fifteen minutes; its prism gauge shows the true height of cut, the cleanness and the evenness of mowing; and its shear strength tester checks the stability of the root system and the traction the pitch provides. These are simple, mechanical and highly reliable tools that give the person in charge of maintenance objective measurements of drainage, cut and anchorage without the need for a laboratory.
